About Charlemont Mountain Academy

Charlemont Mountain Academy (CMA) was founded with a clear vision: to give young athletes the opportunity to pursue ski racing excellence without sacrificing academic growth. Launching in Winter 2025, CMA’s flagship Junior Ski Race Academy serves U12 and U14 athletes from across Massachusetts and beyond.

CMA is located at Berkshire East Mountain, where student-athletes combine high-level ski racing with strong academics and wellness. CMA is a privately operated, nonprofit organization independent from Berkshire East Mountain Resort, with its own staff, academic program, and administration. We provide elite race coaching, physical conditioning, and holistic athlete development – emphasizing sportsmanship, nutrition, and mental resilience. Just as importantly, our academics blend flexible online and in-person learning aligned with Massachusetts standards to keep students on track in the classroom while they train hard on the mountain.
