Ferrer Tennis Academy and USPA Agree to an Exclusive Partnership Agreement
By Manny Iloba
Student-athletes should not have to choose between their athletic pursuits and a strong education. That is why US Performance Academy (USPA) and Academia Tenis Ferrer have expanded their partnership with a new three-year agreement.
Under the partnership, USPA will continue serving as Ferrer Tennis Academy’s official U.S. online school partner. Together, both organizations are making it easier for student-athletes to train, travel, and compete without compromising a great education.
A flexible academic path for tennis players
USPA offers an accredited U.S. online program designed to work alongside a demanding tennis schedule. Students can access:
- Flexible academic pacing
- Academic planning
- NCAA eligibility evaluation
- College counseling
- Support from a USPA Learning Coach based at the academy
The Learning Coach helps students organize deadlines, communicate with teachers, and build routines that fit around training and competition.
USPA Students: Rocco Richardson, Marta Lopez
A shared commitment to the whole student
This partnership reflects a shared belief: student-athletes deserve an education model that supports their full development, not just their performance in sport.
As part of the announcement, Manny Iloba, Ed.D., Global Head of Business Development and Partnerships at USPA, emphasized the value of building an academic experience around the needs of high-performance student-athletes. Ferrer Tennis Academy Manager Gonzalo Morell reinforced that education remains central to each player’s long-term growth, on and off the court.
Both organizations have emphasized that they are committed to helping students grow as learners, athletes, and young adults.
USPA Student: Valentina Kirsch
Two Ferrer student-athletes, two paths forward
Marta López Rubí, Class of 2027, is a competitive tennis player from Spain who trains at Academia Tenis Ferrer.
