Meet Addie Lupton: From Family Golf Outings to National Champion

Addie Lupton, Class of 2031, chose USPA for its flexibility and ability to support her pursuit of academic excellence and elite junior golf.

About Addie Lupton

Addie is a 13‑year‑old competitive golfer who first fell in love with the game while spending time on the golf course with her family at the age of five. What started as a fun family activity quickly grew into a passion, and over the years, Addie has developed into one of the top junior golfers in her age group.

Originally from Wisconsin, Addie and her family relocated to South Carolina in 2023. Today, she enjoys the challenge of continually improving every aspect of her game and competing against the best junior golfers in the country. Golf has taught her valuable life skills, including discipline, perseverance, resilience, and how to stay composed under pressure.

When she’s not on the golf course or traveling to tournaments, Addie enjoys math, spending time with family and friends, swimming, riding roller coasters, and playing with her pet fish and dogs.

What Was School Like Before USPA?

As Addie’s tournament schedule became more demanding, balancing a traditional school schedule with competitive golf became increasingly difficult. National tournaments, qualifying events, travel, and practice often required her to miss school, making it challenging to stay on top of assignments while continuing to pursue opportunities against the country’s top junior golfers.

The demands of elite competition created a need for a more flexible approach to education—one that would allow her to excel in both academics and athletics.

Why Did Addie Choose USPA?

Addie chose USPA because it allows her to continue pursuing her golf goals without sacrificing her education.

With USPA, Addie can:

  • Complete coursework while traveling to tournaments across the country.
  • Learn from virtually anywhere.
  • Work around her training and competition schedule.
  • Stay on track academically while pursuing elite athletic opportunities.
  • Receive support from dedicated teachers and learning coaches.

USPA has helped create a healthy balance between school and sport, reducing the stress that often comes with frequent travel and competition.

What's Next for Addie?

Addie is already accomplishing remarkable things on the golf course. Her achievements include:

  • 2026 LPGA*USGA Girls Golf National Championship (Futures Division) Champion
  • Won the championship by four strokes after shooting 9-under par over 54 holes at Pine Needles, a venue that has hosted multiple U.S. Women’s Open Championships.
  • National Finalist in the Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship for two consecutive years.
  • Qualified for the Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals at Augusta National Golf Club in both 2023 and 2026.
  • Multiple victories in the Peggy Kirk Bell Futures National Division.
  • Successfully competing against older golfers in elite national events.

Looking ahead, Addie plans to continue competing against the top junior golfers in the country, earn the opportunity to play Division I college golf, and ultimately achieve her lifelong dream of competing professionally on the LPGA Tour. Along the way, she hopes to continue representing her family, coaches, school, and community with integrity, humility, and sportsmanship.

In Their Own Words

USPA has given Addie the flexibility to pursue both her academic goals and her dream of playing golf at the highest level. Instead of having to choose between school and opportunities to compete nationally, she can excel at both. The flexibility, supportive teachers, and ability to learn from anywhere have allowed her to travel, practice, and compete while continuing to receive an excellent education. We truly believe USPA has played an important role in helping Addie succeed both in the classroom and on the golf course." - Addie's Family
