Meet Lev Grinberg: From young amateur to international golf sensation
Lev Grinberg, Class of 2026, chose USPA for its flexibility while pursuing a high-level golf career.
About Lev Grinberg
Born in Kyiv in 2007, Lev began playing golf at age five and quickly made his mark in junior competitions. His passion for the sport brought him to USPA, where he balances intensive training and travel with schoolwork.
What was school like before USPA?
Before USPA, traveling internationally for tournaments often disrupted Lev’s education. Traditional school schedules couldn’t adapt to his moving on tours and competing across Europe and beyond.
Why did Lev join USPA?
Lev’s family sought a learning environment that could flexibly accommodate his travel commitments. With USPA, Lev can travel wherever he needs for golf without falling behind in his studies.
What’s next for Lev?
Lev’s achievements speak volumes:
- Made the cut at a European Tour event in 2022 at just 14 years old.
- In 2023, helped Europe win the Jacques Léglise Trophy and the Junior Ryder Cup.
- Continued stellar amateur performance: runner-up at the 2022 Belgian International Amateur, tied for 4th at the 2023 Portuguese International Amateur, and runner-up at the 2024 Junior PGA Championship and 2025 German Boys Open.
- Advanced to the round of 16 at both the U.S. Junior Amateur and The Amateur Championship in 2024 and placed 4th at the South Beach International Amateur.
- In 2025, became a brand ambassador for TaylorMade.
Lev is targeting more cuts on major amateur and European events and aiming for a top-tier college golf experience.
