About:

Brittany Holland serves as Head of School for USPA. She brings more than 11 years of experience in educational leadership, with a career grounded in innovation, academic excellence, and student-centered design.

Brittany began her career as an International Baccalaureate Mathematics and Science teacher, where she developed a passion for inquiry-based learning and high academic standards. She later served as a STEAM Curriculum Director, leading the development of interdisciplinary programs that emphasized critical thinking, creativity, and real-world application. Her leadership journey includes serving as a school administrator for over a decade, most recently as a virtual school principal. Brittany has also played a key role in launching two virtual schools, building strong instructional models, systems, and cultures to support flexible, high-quality learning.

Her leadership has been recognized at the state and national levels. She was named a North Carolina Kenan Fellow in 2014 and honored as the North Carolina National Assistant Principal of the Year in 2018.

A former competitive tennis player during her own school years, Brittany understands firsthand the discipline, resilience, and commitment required of student-athletes. She is deeply excited to lead USPA and is committed to partnering with students, families, and staff to ensure every learner is supported, challenged, and empowered to succeed both academically and athletically.
