Emma is busy mum of 3 little people and has been teaching Geography and Social subjects to high school students for the last 18 years and laterly has been teaching middle school and elementary age students. Originally from Scotland, Emma has been living and working in Valencia, Spain for the past 16 years and is married to Jose, her Valencian husband. She loves to travel, some of her favourites have been; India, Vietnam, Iceland and the USA and Emma loves meeting new people, speaking Spanish, skiiing, tennis and dancing flamenco/Sevillanas! Valencia is the most beautiful place to live and she is extremely happy living on the beautiful Mediterranean surrounded by her family of 5, friends and dog, Archie. With a BA (Hons) in Arts and Social sciences, specialising in Geography from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow and a PGDE in Secondary Education from the same University, Emma has shared her love of the Social Sciences to hundreds of students in both Scotland and Spain. Leading educational trips to Iceland, undertaking Duke of Edinburgh Training, experience as a Humanities subject leader, time spent as a Camp Councillor in Upstate New York, and annually organizing and working alongside a local charity organization for the collection of essential food and hygiene products to those in need in the local area, Emma has achieved many memorable life experiences. She is fluent in Spanish (Castellano) and enjoys the small things in life, like a picnic on the beach with family, a walk in the Calderona national park close to her home or getting stuck into a good book.
