US Performance Academy Welcomes Education Leader, Rob York, to Advisory Board
US Performance Academy (USPA), welcomes Rob York to their advisory board. York brings many years of experience from the K-12 and higher education community to the recently launched school.
Inspired by the determination and passion of young athletes, the President of USPA, Peter Smith, co-founded the school to create a college-preparatory program designed to support athletes in both the classroom and on the field. Smith is excited to have someone like York to bring experience and great ideas.
“We couldn’t be more pleased to have Rob York join the USPA community.” said Smith. “He will bring a great perspective to the team and will be an invaluable resource as USPA continues to grow. In my conversations with Rob, I have been most impressed with his continual focus on the entire student experience and ways of improving it within the USPA learning environment.”
York has been successful in leading several companies in the development of dynamic educational programs designed to meet student needs. In 1996, York founded Education World/Concourse C, Inc., a leading website for K-12 educators. In 2002, York started with Advanced Academics, Inc. where he advanced from Chief Sales and Marketing Officer to President. With over 30 years of experience in the education world, York brings financial, team building, technical, productivity, sales, and development.
“I’m really excited about the opportunity to join the USPA advisory council and getting to know the leadership team.” said Rob York. “They are truly student-centered in their approach. Education is certainly changing. We need to adapt to the changing environment so we can better serve students. Who says you can’t train for your sport, travel to competitions, spend time with your family, and get straight A’s? USPA provides students with flexibility and availability. USPA provides a customized academic program that supports student athletes in the classroom and in competition. I am looking forward to joining the USPA family.”
