Sara is a World Champion fencer from New York City. Throughout her lengthy career in fencing, Sara became a 3-time national team member of USA Fencing, a 3-time World Championship medal winner, and the 2015 individual Junior World Champion. Sara attended Barnard College, Columbia University where she earned a BA in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies and Psychology and was a member and co-captain of the 2-time NCAA champion and Ivy League Champion varsity fencing team.
Sara has a demonstrated history in education and social advocacy initiatives centered around women and youth. In addition to her role as a learning coach, Sara serves as the Director of Operations and Programming for Fencing in the Park, an organization an organization that increases accessibility to fencing for under-resourced youth in New York City. Additionally, Sara is a member of the Youth Voices Network at Day One and a Crisis Counselor at the Crime Victims Treatment Center.
