Beat Boris – Luke
Favorite quote: When I step on that court, I become (Black Mamba). I am that killer snake. I’m stone cold, man. – Kobe Bryant
Song: I Want You Back by The Jackson 5
Luke is taking a gap year to keep playing hockey. He was invited to play for two camps, so will make a decision and likely start to take a few classes as well. Once in college, Luke plans to major in business and minor in criminal justice. His goals after college are to play NHL hockey. If that doesn’t happen, he’ll fall back on starting a hockey camp or store – something to do with the sport(s) he loves.
What’s Luke do for fun? Play hockey! He also loves to be outside in nature, loves walks and hiking.
His favorite USPA memory? When all the power shut off at the rink and they had to go home! Ok, we’d like to hear more about that Luke!
“I’ve had many different people inspire me over the years including Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Will Smith and so many others. For the most part though, my mom has been my biggest inspiration,” says Luke. “I’d like to be an inspiration to others and raise money for many charities.”
Most important lesson Luke’s learned so far? You don’t just let life happen to you. You do life.
We’ll miss you Luke and be cheering you on always!
Your smile at the rinks was always a pleasure to see, almost as much as you carrying two plates worth of food, ready to ask for help in math or another subject. Seriously your dedication to hockey and to your academics is commendable. Luke you truly are a diligent worker, kind soul, and true gentleman. – Jonathan Kuiper, USPA Math Teacher
