Julie’s thirty years of experience as an educator extends across classroom teaching, academic and college advising, curriculum design, administration, higher education consulting, strategic planning, non-profit management, and athletic coaching. Julie started with USPA in 2016 by utilizing the curriculum for her U.S. Ski & Snowboard national team student athletes in her role as the Director of Athlete Career & Education, where she advised Olympic-bound athletes on academic and professional pursuits. Julie initially joined the USPA team in 2020 as the Director of College Counseling and transitioned to Director of School in 2021. Julie’s passion for and experience with whole student athlete development informs her educational philosophy and leadership.
Julie earned a B.A. in English Literature from Dartmouth College and M.A. from Middlebury College (Bread Loaf School of English) before teaching and coaching at Hackley School and The Masters School in New York. Julie was an organizational consultant for Campus Pipeline, SCT, and TrueNorthLogic, supporting higher education institutions with enterprise resource planning and professional development management systems. She founded both Aptitude Academic Services and Aim Advising and was the VP of Client Services for Great Coach and Clear2Play. She has served in her community of Park City, Utah as a board member and advisor on the Park City Education Foundation, Mamaci Utah Lacrosse, National Ability Center, Park Record Spelling Bee, Community Sport Coalition, and Park City Lacrosse Organization. Julie enjoys skiing, mountain biking, trail running, camping, and adventuring in the mountains with friends and family.
