Portrait of Frank
Frank – Golf

Frank’s Instagram page @frankkennedygolf  is filled with famous golfers and some very promising results. At the age of 11, Frank shot a 75-74-149 to win at the Doral Publix World Junior, a tournament that featured an international field of nearly 700 junior golfers representing 45 countries. He’s won British Championships the past two years. He plans to compete at the highest levels of golf.

Frank clearly loves golf, but he’s also starting to take flying lessons. His dad trained to be a pilot years ago. He’s always wanted to try. So, he’s doing it! Along with his academics and studies, golf training and competition, he’s finding time to fly.

He chose to attend USPA to allow him the flexibility to compete, and yet still provide him with the education he knows he needs to have a successful collegiate career academically. His favorite part of being a student at USPA is the contact he has with his tutors and advisors, who help him succeed not only academically, but help him utilize his time in the virtual classroom and on this studies effectively. “They care about my work and really support my goals in my sport and in school” said Frank.

Kennedy keeps winning. From Jupiter, FL and Wynchwood Park, UK, Frank played in his first PGA South Florida Section Challenge Tour this year. Opening with one under par (71), Frank had the lead by two strokes! He ended up shooting a 73 to capture the Boys Overall 13-18 Division.

“I met Gary Player last year and he spent 20 minutes telling me that there will always be golfers with great ability, but very few golfers really give everything to the sport. He said if I wanted to be a top golfer, I had to give everything to practice and competition to achieve my goals. Gary Player is famous for saying, ‘the harder I practice, the luckier I get’ and I will always remember that advice,” said Frank. “I also greatly admire Tiger Woods especially to have come back from horrendous injuries to win his 15th major this year.”

We think you are just awesome, Frank, and will be cheering you on from inside and outside the ropes!
