Blair has written curriculum and taught students aged elementary through college in literature, composition, creative writing, and social studies. She received her MA in Literature from the University of Toledo and her MFA in fiction from North Carolina State University. Her fiction and nonfiction have appeared in American Short Fiction, The Masters Review Anthology, and The Great Lakes Book Project, among others. Her work has also been a finalist for the Cincinnati Review Robert and Adele Schiff Prize in Fiction, Glimmer Train’s Fiction Contests, the PANK Book Contest, and the VanderMey Nonfiction Prize. Her pilot scripts have won or placed in multiple contests, and she’s previously written for Toledo Free Press.
Blair grew up in Virginia and Ohio and currently lives in North Carolina with her partner, son, stepson, and two dogs. She enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors, either gardening or relaxing with her family. While hockey is her favorite sport (go Bruins!), she’s primarily participated in track, volleyball, and basketball, and still enjoys the occasional pickup game.
