When the families of USASA athletes and other Winter Olympic hopefuls want advice on how to manage high-level academics while pursuing elite levels of sport, they can turn to Olympic snowboarder Tricia Byrnes at USPA.

“We’re thrilled to have Tricia join us,” said USPA Chief Business Officer Bill Kerig. "In her new Family Advisor role at USPA, Tricia will be sharing her sage counsel and hard-earned wisdom with prospective students and their families."

A member of the U.S. Snowboarding team for 10 years, a 2002 Olympian (finishing sixth in halfpipe). Former professional snowboarder and industry icon, Byrnes has had her paws in everything shred for the last two and a half decades. Competing in nearly every halfpipe snowboarding event for 20 years, from backyard jams to the Olympics.

In addition to her advisory role at USPA, Byrnes will continue to manage marketing and partnerships manager for USASA.

“I”m passionate about supporting the future generations of snowboarders and freeskiers,” said Byrnes. "Both USASA and USPA are creating wonderful and unique spaces for athletes to discover and pursue their life goals.”

Welcome to the team, Tricia!
