About

Blair has written curriculum and taught students aged elementary through graduate school in literature, composition, creative writing, and social studies, in addition to working as an academic advisor. She received her MA in English from the University of Toledo and her MFA in Creative Writing from North Carolina State University. Her fiction and nonfiction have won prizes and appeared in American Short Fiction, The Masters Review Anthology, and The Great Lakes Book Project, among others. Her television and film scripts have won Scriptapalooza’s TV Writing Competition, placed as an ISA Top 50, and made The Black List’s 2021 “”Top List.”” She’s also worked as a staff writer for Toledo Free Press. Blair grew up in Virginia and Ohio and currently lives in North Carolina with her husband, son, stepson, and two dogs. She enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors, either gardening or relaxing with her family. While hockey is her favorite sport (go Bruins!), she’s primarily participated in track, volleyball, and basketball.
