Adam Jones
Chief Academic Officer
Over the last twenty-five years, Adam has been learning, teaching and leading progressive educational communities. Most recently, Adam was the Technology Integration Director and a classroom educator at the experiential-guided private school, Proctor Academy. He believes that healthy educational communities are living organisms. They need to be fluid, adaptable, open to refinement, and fundamentally not afraid to question how their mission can continue to evolve to support student learning.
Adam was a Peace Corps Volunteer (Vanuatu), Americorps Volunteer (Vermont), and a Wilderness Therapy Instructor (Utah) – all of which focused on experiential learning and alternative ways to encourage authentic learning in young people. Adam holds a BA in Business Administration from James Madison University and a MA in Intercultural Service, Leadership and Management from the SIT Graduate Institute. Adam lives in New London, NH with his twin 11-year old sons, Leo and Finn, and his 16-month old daughter, Stella. As an avid endurance athlete, Adam believes that nurturing a healthy learning community is like training to run a marathon. Both take time, attention to process, the ability to continually adapt to feedback, and a passionate willingness to step into discomfort and observe what can be learned.
